For 80 years, Aanesland Treindustri has built expertise in the decoration of wooden houses - with a particular focus on traditional and stylish Swiss details.
Decoration of wooden houses is our area of expertise.
For 80 years, Aanesland Treindustri has produced and delivered a wide range of wood products, and we have built up expertise in the production and processing of wooden structures for all types of buildings – from small cabins to large airports and museums.
In recent years, we have had extra focus on Swiss houses. After the acquisition of EKS Design AS, and taking over the production of Swiss details for Skan-Tre in Larvik, we now have a broad portfolio and unique expertise in decorative details for, among other things, Swiss houses.
We are very fond of our carpentry. The Swiss details are produced both manually and with the help of various machines, including CNC milling machines. The combination of tradition and technology is unbeatable, and allows for special adaptations that allow us to deliver high quality on all products.
Aanesland Treindustri produces beautiful window and door frames with water boards, lace moldings, toothed boards and brackets. We offer characteristic columns and beautifully carved railing boards.
As floor dividers, we produce toothed boards, lace moldings and roof edge moldings. We also supply column brackets, corner brackets and ridge ornaments in traditional patterns.
One of the most characteristic features of Sveitserhus is the saddle roof with large eaves and visible, carved beams. For roof structures, we produce stylish rafter ridges and rafter rafters (formerly called rafter feet), adapted to both old and modern roof structures.
The rafter feet are joined at the wall web, but we also supply a simpler variant – false rafter feet – which are screwed on under the cornice.
The roof structure also includes overhanging rafters and the elaborate gable spire (ridge cross), with the cross connection known as the crowbar.
