Roseslottet is an art installation at Frognerseteren in Oslo, created by the brothers Vebjørn and Eimund Sand. In 2020, it marked 80 years since the occupation of Norway and 75 years since the liberation. The art park features paintings and installations that tell the story of World War II in Norway, as well as the fundamental principles of democracy, the rule of law, and humanism—values that were challenged during the occupation. Aanesland Treindustri has supplied four wooden 26-meter-high masts painted in gold, with sails in various materials also painted in gold. The name Rose Castle is inspired by the German non-violent resistance group, The White Rose. Aanesland Treindustri also created Roseporten, the entrance to the art park, made of laminated timber.
